Basketball League
A free, Christian, co-ed league for kindergarten through 8th grade.
About 150 children and teens play in our basketball ministry. It’s free. We work hard to make a difference in the lives of children in the Southwest Valley.
Fall 2026 season — Kinder through 8th grade
- 6th–8th grade practice: Tuesday nights, starting September 22
- K–5th grade practice: Thursday nights, starting October 1
- Games: Saturdays in October
- Silver Division Basketball Finals: Saturday, October 31
Why families love our league
- One location. Games and practices are in a quality gymnasium on church property. Practices last one hour.
- Screened volunteers. Coaches, referees and timekeepers meet church guidelines for working with children and have passed a background check.
- High expectations. We teach values, morals and sportsmanship along with basketball.
- Co-ed. Boys and girls are welcome on every team.
- Leveled competition. We divide by age and shift teams as needed so everyone experiences winning and losing.
- Skills. Our goal is for kids to learn and enjoy the game.
- Christian-based. We don’t require players to come to church or share our beliefs, but we practice our faith: a devotion at every practice, prayer at practices and games, and a full children’s and teen ministry at the church.
Want to coach, ref or keep time? Ask the office for the volunteer background form, or contact Pastor Jeremy. We also need snack-bar and laundry helpers.
